Ernst Dumcke
Ernst Dumcke was a German actor. He was married to actress Traute Carlsen for a few years. Character actor, the son of the C.E.O. of a major Frankfurt insurance company. On stage from 1902 and ensemble member of the Deutschen Theater from 1919. Gave up acting for a decade to work in his father's insurance business, before resuming his career in 1929. On screen, invariably cast as authority figures, with a special penchant towards high-ranking officers and noblemen.
